Escape from your busy life and give yourself a little time-off to unwind in the evergreen city of Matsumoto. Matsumoto is a compact city which holds many nice souvenir stores, boutique shops, and well-known restaurants and cafes. Many of those are short walks away from our guesthouse. Matsumoto sees a beautiful sunset against Mt. Jonen, which is beautifully colored orange during dusk. Spend all day exploring Matsumoto and enjoy the beautiful sunset on the way back to our guesthouse “tabi-shiro”.

Enjoy private time, reading books, or chat with locals at the bar. The bar is open for locals on Fridays and Saturdays. We want our guests to enjoy the opportunities to interact with locals.

Kitchen facilities are also available. We provide basic cooking tools and basic seasonings (groceries are not provided). Are you on a business trip? Our guesthouse is also has a quiet room available.

We are located on Jonen Street, where you can see the city symbol, Mt. Jonen. Though we are located in the middle of the city, we are away from the busy streets, so you can enjoy a quiet and relaxed stay. It is an 11 minute walk to Matsumoto Station a 6 minute walk to Matsumoto Castle.
